Tingkat catering is a food subscription
service that serves lunch or dinner in metal tiffin. People rely on such food
subscription service when they have no time to cook or are sick of food that is
served outside. Most of these service providers have no problem delivering
Tingkat to HDBs, but what about those who live in private property such as condominiums?
Don’t worry, there are still tingkat caterers out there who still deliver to
condos albeit with some extra charges.
Le Xin
Catering
Le Xin Catering, having one of the best tingkat delivery services and best catering tingkat menu, provides island-wide delivery services except to
places such as Jurong Island, the CBD, industrial and factory areas. So mainly
residentials! But what about condos? Yes, they do tingkat delivery to condo as well. However, there will be a $17 surcharge if they
were to deliver all the way to your doorstep. This additional fee is waived off
if the food is left at the concierge or the guardhouse, so you have to pick it
up from the guardhouse or concierge yourself. This shouldn’t be a problem if
you are coming home from work and the food is already there. But you will have
to go through the front gate even if the side gate is nearer to your unit.
Tingkat Meals
Tingkatmeals.com, another tingkat catering that provides island-wide delivery
services similar to Le Xin Catering with an additional exception of Chinatown.
However, it was mentioned on their websites that they will be delivered only
to selected condos and landed properties, not sure which are excluded. There
will be a $20 surcharge for delivering to condo units. Compared to Le Xin’s
$17, that will be an additional $3. But of course, it will be waived as usual
if it’s picked up from the guardhouse. Strangely, tingkat lunch delivery will be packed in microwaveable containers only. There
are no explanations given on their website.
Kim Paradise
Kim Paradise, the third tingkat caterer
that provides island-wide delivery services similar to the previous 2 caterers
mentioned do not have any exceptions listed on their website (although you
might want to check with them first). Similar
to Tingkat Meals, there will be a surcharge of $20 for condo deliveries unless
it is being picked up at the guardhouse. Likewise, tingkat lunch delivery for 5 and 10-days package is strictly packed in
microwaveable containers only.
Conclusion
Le Xin Catering
provides metal tingkat delivery to all orders
whereas the other 2 only provide metal tingkat to dinner orders only. Le Xin
only charges $17 whereas the other 2 charges $20. There are many other factors
